A hope filled tradition in Moneta, Virginia.
The Radford Baptist Church congregation as well as family and visitors surround the sanctuary at the end of another beautiful, candle light service.
"She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins" Matthew 1:21
Christmas Eve the Radford family was able to join together to celebrate our Savior and focus on the great gift we received when the Light of the world was born. Pastor Karl shared the story of Christ’s birth from Scripture and we sang Christmas songs in worship together while the candlelight spread across the room.
As each candle was lit, I was reminded of how precious it is to have received the light of the gospel and how thankful I am to be surround by others who reflect the light of Christ to those around them.
The candle light service is a simple night meant to draw our focus to the one who saved us. It is the perfect way to prepare our hearts and minds before the excitement and business that comes with Christmas morning. It is a wonderful way to feel the peace and joy that was brought into the world by a little babe, coming to save us all.
We would love for you to join us for this special event next year. May each of you have a very merry Christmas and may God bless you in the new year!
