Mission
Matthew 28: 18-20 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
Matthew 9:37-38 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
It is clear that we have been commanded to share the Gospel throughout the world. Scripture tells us, that we are to go; to witness; to teach and to baptize. Radford is committed to fulfilling the Great Commission in Jerusalem (Smith Mountain Lake Area), Judea (State of Virginia), and Samaria (Throughout the USA and abroad). This task is being accomplished through prayer, financial support of individual missionaries and the SBC Cooperative Program, and through the sending of short-term and long-term missionaries.
